Loving the Spring retreat

I got quite a bit accomplished this retreat. I got the binding on 2 quilts and some things made for Mother's Day presents for family members. I also got my Hospitality House quilt completed for guild.  Now that weather is warming up I can get started on my tumblers also.  My Cricut machine has been busy too. with Easter coming up I've been making things for the Grandkiddos.

Time for a change to the blog

I'm doing more than just quilting so I've changed the name.  I haven't blogged in so long as life just gets in the way most of the time. I hope I can keep up this time around...lol

HAPPY FALL YA'LL

Countdown is on....

Well the countdown to Fall Retreat with the Pine Mountain girls is on...just 3 weeks now.   I think  I'll just take a couple old UFO's this time and work on them till complete.   I can't wait to just do some quilting and of course catching up with the gossip...lol  This working 6 days a week are getting old.... fast and not letting up soon.

Progress in action....

I've been doing a little more than quilting in the sewing room lately.  I had a new great niece born, family birthdays and trips then of course there is that work thing...lol


I made a diaper wreath for the door to baby's room..... see it's not bad if I do say so myself.

Snow days....

I'm glad to be able to see the sun today.  We had a great weekend with the snow....4 wheeling and visiting grandkids. Now it's time for the quilting to begin and finish some UFO's along with getting some projects ready for March retreat. Can't wait to get some things accomplished.

Shopping and the sorts....

Well have you got all your presents for under your tree yet?  I haven't because of work.  I have a tree up with lights but no ornaments or anything else for that matter.  I have stockings up without being filled.  The DH has a new toy this year as in a star shower that lights up the  outside of your house without hanging lights and getting on the ladder....it's pretty neat and I'll post that later with the Gator quilt later this week when I finish it. 

So much to do and so little time to do it before the big day.  I think I'll just take a me break and recharge this evening so that I can get back at it hard and heavy for the next few days. 

Busy busy busy

Sorry for the big gaps between posts.  As most who know me I have been working a lot of overtime this year. I almost don't have time for Christmas shopping (thank God for Amazon).  I'm making new years resolutions this year.  My number 1 is MAKE MORE QUILTING TIME !!!

I'm almost done with the Gator quilt for the boss and when the binding is finished I'll post it  on here and a picture of the label for the back which is comical...lol
