Shopping and the sorts....

Well have you got all your presents for under your tree yet?  I haven't because of work.  I have a tree up with lights but no ornaments or anything else for that matter.  I have stockings up without being filled.  The DH has a new toy this year as in a star shower that lights up the  outside of your house without hanging lights and getting on the ladder....it's pretty neat and I'll post that later with the Gator quilt later this week when I finish it.

So much to do and so little time to do it before the big day.  I think I'll just take a me break and recharge this evening so that I can get back at it hard and heavy for the next few days.

Busy busy busy

Sorry for the big gaps between posts.  As most who know me I have been working a lot of overtime this year. I almost don't have time for Christmas shopping (thank God for Amazon).  I'm making new years resolutions this year.  My number 1 is MAKE MORE QUILTING TIME !!!

I'm almost done with the Gator quilt for the boss and when the binding is finished I'll post it  on here and a picture of the label for the back which is comical...lol

BUSY-BUSY-BUSY

Sorry it has been so very long since my last post. Alot has been happening in my life in the last few months how do I begin? There has been 2 weddings, birthdays, baby showers (one of which had triplets), engagements, sons moving and we welcomed a new grandson into the family Lincoln Kyle Harrison born in September. I went on my first international vacation to Mexico. Somehow fit in some canning in between all this and working the 60 to 70 hours a week at the regular job. I told you it's been busy around here.  My co-workers and some family members have predicted a harsh winter coming this year so we've been prepping for it also--just in case it does happen this time.

I'm presently trying to cut up and make kits for some Christmas presents, home décor items and  quilts I'm going to work on at my retreat I'm attending next month in KY.  I'll post pictures of them as soon as I return. It won't be months before the next post---I promise.

Thanks for visiting!!

Quilt retreats are the best!!

If you ever get a chance to go to a quilting retreat you must go.  I attended the Spring retreat at Pine Mountain KY and had a blast with about 40 other women and machines humming. I got some projects completed I had been working on and made loads of progress on another.  I hope to be able to post pictures on here later this week.

Happy Quilting!!

Off to my first retreat....yeah!!!!

Well Anna from Quilting on the Porch and the girls from our guild went to a great quilters retreat in the fall without me unfortunately because I was attending my son's graduation.  Now it's my turn to go up to Pine Mt KY with them.  I can't wait till this afternoon when I meet up with Connie and start the journey.  This is my first retreat and packed up ready to dig in the projects.  Pictures to post of my progress tomorrow.

Until next then keep up the good work.

To resolutions and a Happy New Year!!

As others make resolutions I have decided not to this year for myself.  My DH (Scott) and I have decided to make a family goals.  We decided to get more organized and hopefully get a kitchen remodeled.  We're off to a good start so far.  I have a BIG mess in the house and have already thrown about 5 garbage bags of stuff away.

What's bad about this is I haven't even been able to sew yet this year but plan to at least be in the sewing room at least an hour or so a day if time permits. I hope to get to the blog more as well.

Not just that I have the chance to mail my first mug rugs to the land down under....Lee your rugs will be on their way soon...yeah!!

Till next week....
